Getting started… again

Saturday 1 November 2025

I have been wanting to write for a very long time. I have had ideas on a variety of topics, both technical, tutorial-like posts and opinion or personal pieces.

I have also had a lot of reasons why not to do it. What’s the point, it is not worth the time, I don’t have the time, I have other priorities, and so on and so forth. At the end of the day, though, I just want to write because I like writing, I miss it and because I want to express myself. I believe I have ideas and thoughts that are worthwhile to share and may help people. As I have grown my network and the sphere of people I influence or mentor by profession, I see these ideas resonate and people appreciating them. I also find myself explaining the same things or reiterating the same opinions to multiple people in the exact same way. It would be handy, to some extent, to point them to a post online for more details.

At the end of the day, though, I just want to write because I like writing, I miss it and because I want to express myself.

I have tried to write publicly before, but I always found it easy to lose motivation and get carried away by the daily routine and the job and family demands. This activity requires consistency to achieve any level of success, both personally and in public.

I am writing this because I have no idea if I will succeed this time. Maybe I will write a lot or maybe I will write once a year. Maybe it will be good or maybe it will be full of rants and mistakes. Maybe people will find it helpful or maybe noone will read it. I guess I am trying to set both mine and your expectations here.

Hope you will read something useful, helpful, or enjoyable in these pages. Whether you do or not, feel free to let me know. Constructive feedback is rare, but tremendously useful.
